Malene Laugesen

has a background in animation, |
| having worked as an assistent animator as well |
| as supervising and teaching. |
| She has studied at the Danish School of Design |
| and has worked with acclaimed Danish artist |
| Svend Wiig Hansen. |
| In 1998 she became a full-time freelance illustrator. |
| Since then her work has included; Magazines, |
| educational books, children´s books, commercial |
| art as well as Art Direction for 2D and 3D |
| animation, Background Supervision and Colorstyling. |
| She is currently illustrating a series of eight books |
| for children; a selection of the Fairytales of |
| Hans Christian Andersen. To be released for his |
| 200th anniversary in 2005. |
| Malene Laugesen shares a studio (Pinligt Selskab) |
| with nine other artists in Copenhagen, Denmark. |
